The Cast:
David Roper, Musical Director: David started his career at the Connaught Theatre in Worthing with productions of The Wizard of Oz and Annie. He then spent several years at The Royal Theatre Northampton where productions included Blood Brothers, Annie, The Hired Man, They’re Playing Our Song, Piaf and the European Premiere of Seesaw with Helen Shapiro. This was followed by a long spell at The Derby Playhouse where his work with included Grease, Assassins, Cabaret, The Lucky Chance, A Slice Of Saturday Night, Ham and Blues In The Night. He spent two years as production MD for Fame the Musical on tour and in the West End. His composition credits include The Snow Queen (The Young Vic); Blood Money ( Derby and Philadelphia); and also The Collector ( Derby ); Twelfth Night (Ludlow Festival). TV includes We’ve Got Your Number the National Lottery Programme with Brian Conley, Sing It Your Way with Ian Wright and Denise Van Outen for ITV, Dating Hell with Rowland Rivron for Sky One, Lorraine Live with Lorraine Kelly, Singled Out for MTV, Richard Bacon’s Rent Free for BBC and Brian Conley’s Judgment Day for ITV, also Ruthless for BBC and Network 7 in Australia. He is also in the house band “4 Poofs and a Piano” for Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.
