Sophia: "In the almost endless dance of one body to another. I have loved you as mother, husband, brother."

Q: If you had to summarize your whole life in one song, what the title would be?                                                                                Sophia: There is no life without love.                                                                                                                                                       Q: What are the two most meaningful lines of a song you sang or heard and what do they represent to you?                                       Sophia: In the almost endless dance of one body to another. I have loved you as mother, husband, brother.

Q: And in your life as a woman?                                                                                                                                                           Sophia: Having my man by my side.                                                                                                                                                         Q: Who is your favorite audience?                                                                                                                                                           Sophia: People that have suffered in life and know what it means to truly love and be loved.
Q: What "CABARET" means to you?                                                                                                                                                Sophia: Cabaret is the gate that offers the opportunity of experimental blending .
Q: Any regret in life?
Sophia: From jazz and blues I have learned to express human suffering .Opera affords me the power and range  to stylize my emotions. Not making love to my man every night.
Q: What do you notice or sense first when you appear on stage?
Sophia: The great stillness of the moment before the sound and power of my emotion rips through my vocal chords and heart.                   Q: What touches your heart?                                                                                                                                                                    Sophia: Suffering. I can't stand to see any suffering.                                                                                                                                    Q: If you could change the world to a better one, what would or could be the very first thing you would change?                                   Sophia: If I could change the world-all people would have decent housing, clean water, medical treatment, education. There would be no need of homeless, prostitution or poverty.
Q: Are you fun?
Sophia: YES OF COURSE, ENGAGING PEOPLE IN A CIVILIZED CHARMINGLY WITTY WAY, I GUESS SO.
Q: What do you do for fun?
Sophia: Belly dancing.                                                                                                                                                                           Q: What do you like besides music and belly dancing?                                                                                                                    Sophia: Independent films.                                                                                                                                                                       Q: What's next on your agenda? I am performing at “Don’t Tell Mama” beginning this summer, and, Mr. Cornine, my composer and accompanist is also finishing scoring my original lyrics .We will  then go into the studio to record..
