The Treasures gallery is open, free of charge, seven days a week. Come and see over 200 of the British Library's greatest treasures:

  • documents that made and recorded history
  • sacred texts of the world's great religions
  • masterpieces of illumination
  • landmarks of printing
  • great works of literature and music
  • major advances in science and mapmaking

There is also the Workshop of Words, Sound & Images. The Workshop explains the processes behind the creation of the manuscripts, printed books and other items that you can see on display in the Treasures gallery.
