Kylie undie wraps
Photo:
Despite a vow to "cover-up", Kylie's back in her
undies.
KYLIE Minogue declared last year she was going to cover up more in photo shoots - but her new lingerie pictures appeared to have put an end to that pledge. Minogue has completed a sexy range of photos promoting her Love Kylie lingerie range, which is now in its eight season. Designed by herself and style guru and friend William Baker, the lingerie, despite being tiny and low cut, has proved to be very popular in the department stores. It's almost a year ago since the elder Minogue sister stepped onto the catwalk at the Melbourne Fashion Festival promoting the range. But she won't be here next month to do the same thing. In one of the designs that features lip prints, Minogue kissed a piece of paper with her favourite red lipstick. And that became the print that was on the final design.
Packer debuts on TV
BIKINI queen Jodhi Packer will make her television debut next week after signing a secret deal with Foxtel to host a fashion show. "It's been a great year," says Packer, 32, who is rumoured to be single again. "If I'm not at the office, I'm hanging out with my dog or at the beach. I'm pretty busy with my work - that's the number one focus in my life." On top of her new television career, Packer has also taken back complete control of her Tigerlily fashion empire after letting another company manufacture and distribute her swimwear label. "I wanted to wait for the right thing," Packer says of her TV deal, "and this was perfect. I've really enjoyed working on the show." Packer has secretly been working in front of the camera for the past month, filming four episodes of the fashion show, Arenastyle.
Monaco's Prince Rainier in hospital
MONACO'S 80-year-old Prince Rainier has been admitted to
hospital for the third time in two months, suffering from "acute heart
problems".
"Biological exams confirmed this diagnosis corresponded with a new coronary
lesion situated just below the heart bypass operation carried out in November
1994," a medical statement put out by the palace said today. It added that the
lesion was "immediately brought under control". The prince would remain in
hospital "in principle for several days". Prince Rainier was in hospital from
December 16 to 21 with influenza, and from January 2 to 22 as a result of a
"state of general fatigue". Since his return to the palace, he has not been
seen in public. The prince is one of the world's longest-reigning monarchs. He
acceded to power in the tiny Mediterranean enclave in 1949, three years before
Queen Elizabeth of England. His first treatment for cardiac problems was in
November 1994, when he was given a double by-pass. In 2002 he was admitted to
hospital twice - in May and November. Agence France-Presse
Supermodel 'courted publicity'
BRITISH
model Naomi Campbell's desire for privacy contrasted with her "manipulative
and selective" disclosures about her personal life, five Law Lords sitting in
London were told today. Desmond Browne QC was replying to the supermodel
lawyers' claims that there was a breach of confidence which amounted to an
invasion of privacy when The Daily Mirror published photographs and a
story about her receiving help at Narcotics Anonymous for drug addiction. Mr.
Browne, representing the newspaper, was giving reasons why the Court of Appeal
was correct to overturn a High Court ruling that the article not only breached
confidentiality but was also a breach of the Data Protection Act. Campbell
took her case to the House of Lords after her £3500 ($8383) damages award was
quashed and she was ordered to pay The Mirror's £350,000 legal costs.
Mr. Browne said in her career as an international fashion model Campbell had
courted rather than shunned publicity in order to promote her own brand of
products. AP
