Jocelyne takes New York by storm

At the end of the sixties, Jocelyne moves to London where she resided temporarily and  recorded in English.  Consequently, the  anglosaxon entertainment and music market opened wide before her eyes. The opportunities and offers were enormous. In 1970, she moved to New York, where she recorded new songs, produced and acted in musicals such as "French Feelings",  "French Dressing" which was  a Tribute to "ZO ZO"  Josephine Baker, originally from the United States. The American public and critics just adored Jocelyne. She became an overnight sensation. Recording deals and bookings poured over her agent's desk, left and right and from all directions. This sweet French diva took New York by storm. In 1981, she finally moves to California   and as expected, she opened a Parisian cabaret music under the name of “La Rose Tattoo” where she continued to perform, almost on a daily basis. Ironically enough, the shows at this new Californian boite was repackaged re-written as a musical and ultimately ended up as a big production on European stages. This woman would not stop creating, singing, acting and producing. Her concerns about children protection, safety and rights led her to establish in 1988,  an international non-profit foundation, the FDRC " Foundation for the Declaration of the Rights of Children", and Jocelyne began to devote herself to the organization. In fact, she donated all her royalties, earnings and proceeds of sales of her recordings and shows to the foundation.

The world of music and charity loses a super diva and a great humanitarian.

The end of a great era! The world loses a magnificent diva and superb human being...

Unfortunately, as the old proverb goes: "Good people die first."
She was diagnosed
with a cancer which she  bravely fought for many years. The decease deprived her from future performances and  forced her to withdraw  from the stage, for good.  It was the end of an era. But the cancer could not refrain Jocelyne from making a comeback on stage, just to earn additional money, so she could donate it to the needy children. She has made a brief comeback and performed in charitable  galas for the foundation. In addition, she recorded new tracks and songs to the delight of her international audiences and fans. And what a great gift, those recordings were. Glowing articles were written and splendid reviews acclaimed the splendor of the voice of this loving now French-American diva. Her voice did not lose its divine beauty, sparkling purity and mesmerizing mystic. To the last minute of her life, her voice remained intact, crystal clear and  full of warmth, inner feelings and sad-joyful drama of life and beyond.
