Jocelyne's Foundation for the Declaration of the Rights of Children

During her life and through her "Foundation for the Declaration of the Rights of Children",  Jocya  spread her vision of protecting the rights of children worldwide through numerous activities, charities galas and events, to name a few:

A- Friends of Sheba Medical Center Tribute to Yitzhak Rabin in Los Angeles that raised $2,000,000.00 for the International Wall of Peace in 1996
B- First World Forum for Children's Television in Barcelona in 1997
C- The Museum of Television and Radio's Eighth International Children's Television Festival, in cooperation with the United Nation's. International Day for Tolerance, November 1999.
D- Pierre Cardin's production of Le Manege to benefit the refugee orphans of Kosovo in May 2000.

In addition, the great late Jocelyne recorded a delightful song "For Your Children", an original composition by  Jocya herself. The song  is the theme song for the Foundation. Jocelyne Jocya and Paul Anka have recorded and performed this lovely song for the benefit of children's rights worldwide.  Ms. Angie Dickinson wrote  the  lyrics,  and Humberto Gatica produced the recording. The World Vision's 1992 annual telethon used  the song "For Your Children" as their theme song. UNICEF of the United Nations chose Jocelyne's song for their 12 December 1999 International Children's Day of Broadcasting theme .Jocelyne Jocya devoted twelve years of her life to further  the rights of children of all races and ethnic backgrounds worldwide through the charitable work of her foundation,  her talents,  music, voice courage, generosity and vision. She is dead now. But, she will live for ever in our hearts and in the memory of destiny. Fortunately, her foundation is still active. Pierre Cardin, world famous fashion designer, philanthropist and Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO, is the Patron-Honorary Chairman, with Pierre Salinger former Press Secretary of President John F. Kennedy as the International President. The other members of the Foundation's Board of Directors have a wide-ranging background in the arts and communications.
