You need the good connections, the good contacts and the blessings of the industry executives and insiders to prosper, to get known, to get rich, to sign contracts, to perform and to last! The World of CABARET is a tough one. A very competitive market, a human-gladiator arena where only the most gifted, the most fortunate, the exceptionally well-positioned and well-connected artist will make it. Thousands of CABARET singers come and go every day, every night with every flash of light and running shadows of deception and disappointment…Few remain. Few, we know about. Few we hear about. Few we read bout. And fewer will live with us, enter our bedroom, visit our living room, glue us to the small screen and make us buy their records, attend their performances, rush to see them on stage and……………make us dream, fantasize and wish if we were like them.

If they keep on haunting our imagination and succeed in identifying us in and with their songs, music, philosophy of life, strengths and weaknesses…then, and only then, they become Immortal! Anna Bergman did that!! On earth, they are the superstars, the Divas. In Heaven, they become a mythology, a cult, a subject of reverence and adoration. Few Cabaret artists…very few artists reached that level, flew so high, spread their wings over our universe, reached for the cloud and with their talent touched the face of God!!..Anna Bergman flew so high! Very, very few artists did accomplish that. In my book, I call them the Divine Divas with celestial and sinful immortality. Celestial, because they have transcended the frontiers of artistic perfection, Sinful, because they give us guilty thoughts and develop in us unrealistic yet comforting ambitions and fragile escapades. Anna Bergman is one of those Divine Divas. Anna Bergman, the Femme Fatale of World Cabaret. Anna Bergman, the Immortal Cabaret Torch and Flame singer, the thunder and Beauty mesmerizing performer, and the Diva who glitters and shines every second and every shadow of a second when she sings, when she talks, when she moves, when she is here, and when she is not here, for our imagination and constant needs to see her and to listen to her follow her wherever she goes. Anna Bergman never knew that I saw her twice on stage. I never followed her. I never asked for her autograph. Frankly, I care less. But, every time I am in town, or she is in town, I have to please my madness and satisfy my hunger for real music and singing, and there is only one way to do that! You guessed it folks. You guessed it! Go and see Anna on stage. What a delight! Don’t ask why somebody would begin to question the reason for living and wondering about the evolution of modern thoughts after reading Kafka, Proust or Sartre.
