ANDRE RIEU, SOPHIA DALLE, MARSEY, NORMAN PETERSON AND THE ENIGMATIC MAX de LAFAYETTE

Dear Max (now that you have returned my e-mail, I'm taking the "Max" liberty), Enigma solved! You DO exist...  There for a few days in the Rieu "Guestbook" it seemed that some were questioning your authenticity, if not your actual existence. In my case, your e-mail was first black listed and thrown into the "Virus and Sieve" with the SPAM, and when I tried to retrieve it, I  was told rudely that it had "probably been destroyed."  Not one to abandon hope easily, I managed to reincarnate it in another "webmail." All this 5 days after you had sent it---tumbling around out there in the "blue nowhere."  Ah, the auguries of the computer world. The Dalle article was plus que superbe!!!  (Is that a viable construction?) You were trans--ported and touched  by her gentle inner  soul, and you dragged the rest of us with you. Isn't that what a great artist does?--he sees what we SHOULD be seeing, but what most CANNOT. Yep, we all "share the eternal essence and oneness."  Can't escape it. Compassion and empathy define us.  Can't escape that reality, either. Thanks for recommending that I read the article.  I tried to find an e-mail address for Sophia but could not--wanted to thank her for sharing herself with us. I must be developing an addictive nature....first, the Maestro's music (which I have wired to every floor of our home, so that I can be continually surrounded by auditory beauty) and now I have found The Monthly Herald articles (drawn as if by a magnet!)  No rest for the  truly "romantic." Many thanks for resuscitating my small world,   Marsey P.
 
PS: By the way, Jean-Maximillien de La Croix de Lafayette---in my youth, I would have made that pact with the devil just to introduce you around the living room in my dorm at Connecticut College.  Eh, what's in a name?---  I wager it has been both an asset and a "croix" to bear at times.
