RACHEL DENIES BOOB JOB

Rachel Hunter has hit back after Penny Lancaster claimed the Kiwi model had surgery to enhance her breasts. Penny, Rod Stewart's girlfriend, made the comments after losing the Ultimo lingerie modeling contract to Rachel, the rocker's ex-wife. Angered by the jibe, Rachel told The Sun: "I'm shocked at the suggestion I've had plastic surgery. If my breasts look bigger it's only because I was wearing an Ultimo bra. If anything it shows the bra works." Rachel denied she had taken pleasure in ousting Penny, saying she had only taken on the job for the cash. "I'm not doing this for revenge. It's not a personal vendetta. I'm not a bitch. I have to make a living," she said. Ultimo said it had decided to switch Penny for Rachel - who, at 34, is two years older - because she was more famous. The bitter pill was made all the more difficult for Penny to swallow after it emerged Rachel's two-year deal is worth £1m while she earned only £200,000. Penny now says Rachel's too old to model, but Rachel isn't riled. "I won't be drawn into a schoolroom slanging match," she said

'A SICKENING DEATH TRIP'

Mel Gibson's controversial new film depicting the last hours of Christ has been given a mauling by US critics. One described The Passion of the Christ as a "sickening death trip" bordering on "pornographic violence". A claim by Jewish groups that it is anti-Semitic was backed by award-winning critic Jami Bernard in the New York Daily News. "Jews are vilified, in ways both little and big, pretty much non-stop for two hours, seven minutes," she wrote. Filmed in Latin and Aramaic, with subtitles, the movie shows Jewish temple guards and Roman soldiers beating Jesus before his crucifixion. t has also sparked concern among church groups and the Vatican. But hundreds of New Yorkers who attended a preview gave a mixed response. Some said they were moved to tears while others were shocked by the gory violence. One movie-goer told the New York Post: "The movie just...made me feel like I was part of that crowd (at the crucifixion)." Pundits say the terrible publicity means 'Passion' is almost certain to succeed at the box office. The film, which Gibson produced, opens in the UK next month.

The 45-year-old is in negotiations with various record labels to release his new album CD Musicology.  Prince slipped out of the spotlight in the 1990s after becoming one of the biggest pop stars of the 1980s. He has been releasing his albums on the internet since 1996 after a bitter feud with Warner Bros. The singer recently signaled his desire to get back into the mainstream with a Grammy telecast this month with Beyonce.
